Happy Mother's Day :-)

For Mother's Day, I was greeted with a delicious breakfast in bed, followed by the sweetest cards I've ever gotten.  We then spent some time taking it easy before going to church.  We had lunch at one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.  Gringo's makes the very best Amazon Wrap, which is a fajita taco salad wrapped up in a spinach tortilla served with pico, guacamole, queso and sour cream.  All I can say is YUM!!!

I'm planning on working out a little later to burn off some of the calories... Could not ask for a better Mother's Day!

19 Weeks!

After a horrible, horrible week in the hospital, I was finally released late Monday night. I still don't feel 100% but I am very happy to be home and recovering! I would like to thank Hubert and Dea for coming to my rescue over the weekend. They gave up a lovely weekend in Paris to be with us and it really meant a lot to me. It was SO nice to have family around when you aren't feeling your best. I'm so lucky to be so loved!

Even though I was bed ridden for most of Week 18, Baby JVM seems to have GROWN! My belly is getting really big - I almost feel like it's going to burst at times. I have my next important scan next week where we will hopefully know for sure what we are having (although they are pretty sure it's a girl!) and that everything is developing as it should!

Andrew and I are starting to think about names. I would like to consider some family names as well, so if anyone has any suggestions, please let us know!

I am very much looking forward to the weekend to catch up on some much needed sleep.

Hugs & Kisses to all xoxo

London Olympics 2012

Thanks again for the wonderful hospitallity! We really had a great time and enjoyed spending time with you guys!

So I am formally laying out the invitation to come to London for the Olympics next summer!

We already have a couple tickets to a few events (4 to volleyball, 2 to beach volley ball and 2 to women's soccer) but I was wondering if anyone would mind looking at what is still available through the Luxembourg Olympic Committee. Each country gets a certain amount of tickets allocated so maybe Luxembourg still has something for the most popular events (swimming, gymnastics or athletics..)

Here is the link to the official ticket distributor but you need to reside in Luxembourg to order through them..

And, as you can see, Steph was recruted to fill the raviolis. I am the only lazy butt watching all this effort with admiration and delight!!!

Weekend in Luxembourg with Andrew and Steph

Steph and Andrew brought the sunshine in Luxembourg! And in the middle of the winter!!!
After their arrival, we went to the Christmas market for a very healthy meal : "Gromperen kichelcher". For the non luxembourgish, it is thick fried potatoes pancakes. Delicious when it is cold outside.

As you can see, the ladies were cold. Thank God, the pancakes were nice and hot.

Later, we had dinner at home with Jill and Steve. We cooked a very large seabass in the oven with the head and the tail. I can assure you that, with the help of a good wine, the ambiance was so nice. A lot of laughs, such a nice dinner together.

Today we will cook raviolis with ricotta and sage. Andrew is the assistant cook under the supervision of the master chef Déa. Steph and I will watch the chefs in action and obviously taste the results!

Tonight Jill and Steve have invited many friends for a Christmas drink in the Grund and we will join them.
